To apply for social housing, you will first need to create an account using an email address and password.

After you register, we'll send you an email to confirm your account. Select the link in the email to verify your email address and activate your account.

If you do not receive the email, check your junk or spam folder. If you cannot find it, you may have entered your email address incorrectly. In this case, you can register again using the correct email address.

Important: The verification link expires after 48 hours. If it expires, select Forgotten your account details? to reset your password and request a new verification email.

Information you'll need

To complete an application, you'll need information about:

• Everyone who will be included in the application, including names and dates of birth
• National Insurance numbers for the main and joint applicant
• Your address history for the last five years
• Your current housing circumstances
• Any health or welfare issues affected by your current home
• Any current or former rent arrears, housing debts or property recharges
• Any relevant criminal convictions or anti-social behaviour history

Supporting documents

You'll be asked to provide documents to help us verify your application. These may include:

• Proof of identity
• Proof of address
• Proof of National Insurance numbers
• Evidence of your local connection to West Northamptonshire
• Supporting evidence relating to your housing circumstances or household members, where applicable

Uploading documents

If we need supporting documents, we'll contact you through your account and by email.

To upload a document:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Navigate to the actions tab of your account.
3. Open the action we've asked you to complete.
4. Select the file you want to upload.
5. Select Upload and complete action.

We'll review the information you've provided and contact you if we need anything further.
